Chronicles
looking for meaning as a product of saturation,
the contemporary and the barroque are subjects constantly appealing to my psyche.
Collaboration is a method for destabilising authorship, allowing contamination, interruption and reinterpretation of one’s statement, where ideas stretch, distort and disperse through collective making.
Materiality is central.
Painted surfaces, stitched elements, layered textiles and photographic fragments register and emphasise human touch, labour and time. These materials carry traces of care, fatigue, repetition and repair, making it an intuitive and cumulative act.
Acknowledging mess, vulnerability and excess as legitimate forms of perceiving existence.
This is the place where intimate affairs, inherited histories and shared myths work as a personal archive and a cartography.
Viewers are invited to decode, linger and navigate the work as a living system that keeps growing, reassembling and adapting:
A symbiotic relationship that absorbs reality and creates images and objects that materialise a wonderous desire to exist as well as my fascination with death, sorcery and the spiritual world.
